AVI Crossovers:
Passive crossovers have, till now, generally been considered inferior to most active electronic types. Typical passive crossovers have had too much insertion loss, shallow slopes, and had power handling limits not compatible with current generation speakers. AVI was the producer of the world's first 24 dB crossover for Car Audio. For perfect matching and combinations, all the component sets have their own crossovers.
AVI builds passive crossovers that are superior to most active electronic types, outstanding examples of how very good passive crossovers can be. All it takes is a great "no-compromise" design and the best parts in the world. No longer will professional installers have to build their own passive crossover networks, because AVI has finally created ones good enough for the most critical listeners
Our premium grade parts are matched to under 5% tolerance, and our cored inductors maintain high damping and ensure low losses. The power rating of AVI networks provides sufficient head-room for linear output well above the normal operating envelope of the speakers.
XN-24G Crossover:
One of a handful of 24 dB per octave crossovers designed for car audio applications. The steep slope provides almost zero overlap between drivers, eliminating comb-filtering caused by multiple sources. Outputs are in-phase, summing to a flat transfer function. Protection for the high frequency driver is provided by a PTC component, which automatically reduces the tweeter level, and resets after the overload is removed. For use with 25mm (1") dome tweeters, and MX or LX speakers.

XN-45C Crossover:
For superb quality three way systems, the XN-45C combines the essential features of the XN-24G and 18H in a single unit, with slightly lower power rating. XN-45C provides a 400hz - 3khz bandpass output on the mid-device, and a 3 khz high pass on the tweeter. Requires XN-16L to complete the system. |

XN-18EL Crossover:
This 18 dB per octave crossover is designed for car audio applications. The steep slope provides very little overlap between drivers, eliminating comb-filtering caused by multiple sources. Outputs are in-phase, summing to a flat transfer function. Protection for the high frequency driver is provided by a PTC component, which automatically reduces the tweeter level, and resets after the overload is removed. This crossover provides three levels of tweeter protection (0db, -3db, -6db). For use with 25mm (1") dome tweeters, and MX or LX speakers |

XN-16L Crossover:
This 400hz low-pass network cuts the upper frequencies off mid-bass devices such as the LX-130 or LX-160, or our SL-170 in very high output systems. The 12 dB slope is complimented by resistive swamping and a zobel array to provide smooth frequency response, and an easy to drive load for the amplifier.

XN-18H Crossover:
When used with the XN-16L, this ingenious high-pass network creates a virtually seamless transition. Using an 18dB per octave slope and slightly staggered filter frequencies, the frequency response and phase response are both smooth. The XN-18H features a zobel array and mylar foil capacitors for optimum performance. |
